Sustainability is determined early on: in the design, in the materials, and in the manufacturing process. The courses in this track will show you how to systematically integrate environmental and social criteria into products, services, and production processes, rather than trying to fix them after the fact. You’ll work with methods for sustainable design, learn about concepts such as urban factories, low-tech, and open-source hardware, and develop concrete sustainability plans for your own work environment. The course offerings are continuously expanded throughout the year.

Experience in-depth, scientifically grounded knowledge delivered by our professors and instructors, who always keep professional practice in mind and use innovative methods to impart knowledge.
You can choose between short seminars and workshops—lasting up to five days—which you can complete with a certificate of participation, and certificate courses lasting several weeks—ranging from 3 to 8 weeks—that conclude with a certificate from the TU Berlin Academy for Professional Education. The latter include in-person sessions held in Berlin or virtually, as well as guided self-study, allowing you to learn flexibly whenever it suits you.
